This Privacy Statement explains how The Innovation Insiders, a joint venture operated directly by its co-founders, from Educate On Purpose and Redefine Training & Education, ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you join and participate in our community hosted on the Substack platform. Our mission is to support educators globally in building their technology knowledge, skills, and confidence. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and securely.
This Statement should be read alongside Substack's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, as Substack acts as the platform provider and processes data according to their own policies.
Data Controllers: For the purpose of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR & the Data Protection Act 2018) and EU GDPR, and acting consistently with US privacy principles, the co-founders of "The Innovation Insiders" are the joint data controllers for the personal data collected specifically for managing our community membership, engagement, and communications beyond Substack’s core platform functions.
Substack is a separate data controller for data processed through their platform services.

What Personal Data We Collect: We collect information you provide directly when you subscribe, create a profile, post content, comment, or communicate within the community.

Age Requirements Privacy: In addition to Substack’s Terms of Service, which clearly indicate that you must be 16 years of age or older to use Substack, “The Innovation Insiders” Community is for adults over 18 working in the education sector. This includes teachers, administrators, educational consultants, and educational technology professionals.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 18. If we discover it, we will delete it.
By participating in this community, you certify that you are an adult over the age of 18 years, working in the education sector.
Changes to This Privacy Statement: We may update this Statement as and when needed.
